Their Story Information

Isaac and his siblings were born on Tom Wooten Plantation to their mother Jennie Wooten. Isaac was given as a child to Nancy Wooten Britt, probably a dowry. When he enlisted they enrolled him under his slave owner’s surname Britt. After the war he actually can be found under both Britt and Pridgen. 

His brother was Diggs Pridgen. Diggs  was given as a child to Winafred Wooten Mewborn , probably as a dowry.
